Classic Tented Safari Camp in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

With just six classic tented suites, including a dedicated family unit, Little Makalolo offers an intimate, authentic safari atmosphere. Each suite includes indoor and outdoor showers, canvas walls, and views over the bush or waterhole. The camp features a raised deck with a plunge pool, a log-pile hide for discreet wildlife viewing, and a solar-powered, eco-conscious design that blends comfort with conservation.

THE PROPERTY

Guests enjoy twice-daily game drives, walking safaris, and unique hide experiences, offering close encounters with elephants, lions, buffalo, and Hwange’s iconic sable antelope. The Star Bed sleep-out at Madison Pan adds a touch of wilderness romance, while cultural and conservation experiences — including time with the Scorpion Anti-Poaching Unit — highlight the camp’s deep roots in community-driven safaris.
